A Note from Tricia of Angel's Floral Creations
My mom is Angel. I always knew she was an artist. She worked in a flower shop when she was pregnant with me and remembers how the smell of the gardenias would give her morning sickness. She loved working with flowers and she was good at it, but she was a single mom with three growing kids and it wasn't paying the bills anymore, so she went on to work other jobs... but in her heart she knew she wanted to do something creative with her life. Finally, in 2007 after the oldest of us flew the nest, she quit her job and started this flower shop, not knowing where it would take her or whether or not she would be successful. Since then, Angel and her staff have placed and won in several design competitions, Angel was invited to work as the florist at the Grand Hotel in Mackinaw Island where she did countless beautiful weddings and events and her designs have been published in Carleton Varney's interior designs books "Mr. Color" and "Rooms to Remember: A Designer's Guide to the Grand Hotel." Because of her incredible talent, our shop has grown into something none of us could have imagined... we're located beautiful historic building downtown, we love being a part of the community here, and we provide a livelihood for several people, myself included.
When you call or stop by our store, you’re dealing with a real person who’s passionate about flowers that lives in your community. We are inspired by the art of nature that surrounds us, the reaction to the final product, and the creative process that allows flowers to communicate love and life. We live and breathe collaboration, not only with each other - we believe that working with you, not just for you, is the space where we can generate the extraordinary. We allow nature to guide as we take the palette we are given, and turn it into something truly magical. We believe in the magic of every day moments. Our work lives where creativity meets timeless beauty.
Thank you for letting us be a part of the beautiful moments of your lives,
Tricia
